Founder Carol Stady had the idea for PHAME Academy in 1984 when, as a result of being involved in Special Olympics, she believed that the fine and performing arts would be a great compliment to sports activities.
The idea fully evolved in 1992 when she left her position at First Interstate Bank to open PHAME Academy. The rest is history. She was born in Lancashire, England and since being in the United States has acted and sung in many productions. She has performed in Carnegie Hall, Prague, Vienna, and Barcelona with the Jonathan Griffith Singers. PHAME is her pride and joy. She believes passionately that everything is possible for these special performers and does her utmost to prove it daily.
